Today I was given a brief from Marks & Spencer. They needed some massive banners designed to show their sponsorship at the British Cheese Awards 2009. Despite some initial confusion about sizes of banners and what each of the 4 was supposed to have on it I soon sorted it out and made them look good. The pop up banners were 2 metres high and so all the information had to be more central than normal. The other two were to be hung and were 3 metres wide.
They had only sent over a large jpeg of the British Cheese Awards' logo and so I just had to remove the white background in Photoshop and hope for the best. This is one of the problems I've encountered frequently - that clients don't understand what a designer/artworker needs to be able to finish a brief.

After lunch I worked on my ideas for the new BrandNew campaign and how these could be turned into print projects.
